About

I am the founder of Krümel’s DIY. My grandpa used to call me Krümel, since I was little, and so do my friends and family.

I was born and raised in Germany. My mom is German, and my dad is Bosnian. When I was 16 years young, I started to work with my hard-working dad in his kitchen installation business.

I have plenty of years’ experience as a kitchen fitter in Germany and Switzerland. While doing this, there was always a lot of other DIY work required. I had to install flooring and skirting, assemble lots of furniture, fix furniture, paint walls, and hang many a shelf and cupboard. I enjoyed this diverse experience and grew a passion for designing and building furniture for myself and my friends. I am also a trained multi-media designer, and this valuable skill helps me come up with fun and simple designs. 

I firmly believe that DIY is a woman’s job, and I am not okay with men talking down to women when something at home needs to be fixed. We’re more than capable of doing it, ourselves.
